Turmeric Grilled Lamb Chops

Ingredients:

For the Lamb Chops:

  • 8 lamb chops

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Turmeric Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons Organic Turmeric Powder

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for a smoky flavor)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • A handful of fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme), finely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, turmeric powder, minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika (if using), lemon juice, and chopped herbs to create the marinade.

  2. Marinate the Lamb Chops: Season the lamb chops with salt and pepper. Place them in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the lamb chops, ensuring they are well coated. Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight for more flavor.

  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Grill the Lamb Chops: Remove the lamb chops from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill the chops for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  5. Rest the Meat: Let the grilled lamb chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat.
